7. Travel & Support: You arrive in Morocco and enjoy your custom itinerary. We provide 24/7 support.

– Minimum: 4 weeks before travel
– Last-minute (if available): 2-3 weeks, but limited availability

Can you accommodate last-minute bookings?

Can I modify my itinerary after booking?

Yes, modifications are welcome!

Modification Policy:

– More than 30 days before departure: Free modifications (subject to supplier availability)
– Less than 30 days before departure: Modification requests subject to availability and any change fees

How much does a trip cost?

Trip costs vary widely based on:

– Trip duration: (3 days to 3+ weeks)
– Services included: (accommodation level, activities, meals, guides)
– Group size: (private vs. group experiences)
– Season: (peak vs. off-season)
– Activity level: (adventure vs. relaxation)
– Special requests: (luxury accommodations, private guides, etc.)

– Budget weekend trip (3 days, 2 people): $800-$1,500 per person
– Standard week-long trip (7 days, 2 people): $1,500-$3,500 per person
– Luxury adventure trip (10 days, 2 people): $3,000-$8,000+ per person
– Custom high-end experiences: $10,000+

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following payment methods:

What is the deposit requirement?

Deposit: 35% of your total trip cost is required to confirm your booking

Why a deposit?

– Secures your reservations with hotels, activity providers, and transportation
– Demonstrates commitment to your booking
– Allows us to lock in rates and availability
– Covers initial planning and coordination costs

Deposit Payment:

– Due upon booking confirmation
– Can be paid by credit card, debit card, or bank transfer
– Invoiced separately from your booking contract

After Deposit is Paid:

– Your reservations are locked in
– You receive confirmation email with booking details
– Pre-trip communication and planning begins

What is the payment schedule?

Payment schedules are customized per booking, but typically:

What’s included in the price?

Your customized price includes whatever services you book, typically:

– Accommodations (hotel stays as specified)
– Breakfast (usually included with hotels)
– Private or group transportation
– Activities and excursions listed in itinerary
– Licensed guides for activities
– Some meals (depending on your itinerary)
– Booking coordination and support

Typically NOT included:

– International airfare
– Travel insurance
– Visa fees
– Personal meals not specified in itinerary
– Alcoholic beverages (unless included)
– Tips and gratuities
– Shopping and personal expenses
– Souvenirs and gifts

Your invoice will clearly specify what is and isn’t included.

Can prices change after I receive a quote?

No. Once we send you a quote and you approve it, the price is locked in. The only exceptions are:

Price Changes Only Occur If:

– You request modifications to your itinerary (additional activities, upgraded accommodations, etc.)
– Exchange rates significantly impact international payments (rare)
– Changes are made extremely close to travel dates and suppliers have price adjustments

Any price changes will be:

– Clearly communicated to you
– Documented in writing
– Approved by you before payment

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

What is your cancellation policy?

ExploreWithMaria offers refunds based on how far in advance you cancel:

| Less than 60 days before arrival | No refund |

Important: All refunds are minus non-refundable items (administrative fees, prepaid supplier costs).

How do I cancel my booking?

To cancel:

1. Send an email to contact@explorewithmaria.com with subject “Cancellation Request”
2. Include your full name, booking reference, and original travel dates
3. You will receive confirmation within 24 hours
4. Refund calculation will be sent within 5 business days

Important: Cancellations must be in writing (email). Verbal cancellations are not valid.

What if I need to reschedule instead of canceling?

You can reschedule to a different date!

Rescheduling Benefits:
– Keep your payments instead of receiving a refund
– Avoid cancellation penalties
– Transfer your booking to a new date

Rescheduling Policy:
– More than 60 days before original departure: Free rescheduling (subject to availability)
– Less than 60 days before: Subject to change fees if costs differ
– New dates must be available with all suppliers

Are there non-refundable items?

Yes, the following are always non-refundable:

– 10% Administrative Fee (non-refundable regardless of when you cancel)
– Prepaid Supplier Costs (hotels, activities, guides already paid and locked in)
– Government Fees (visa fees, park entrance fees, etc.)
– Services Already Completed or Delivered

These represent actual costs incurred or committed by the Agency and cannot be recovered.

What if I get sick close to my trip?

Illness-Related Cancellations:

– Subject to the standard refund policy
– If within 60 days: typically no refund
– Exception: If you have travel insurance, it may cover illness-related cancellation

What to do:

– Contact us immediately
– Provide medical documentation (doctor’s note)
– Discuss options (rescheduling, travel credit, insurance claim)
– We’ll work with you on a case-by-case basis

What if there’s a force majeure event (pandemic, natural disaster, etc.)?

Force Majeure Events:

Natural disasters, pandemics, wars, government travel bans, etc.

If force majeure affects your trip:

– We’ll propose alternative dates or modified itineraries
– If you accept the modification: Your trip continues with no extra charges
– If you don’t accept: You get a full refund or travel credit

Travel Insurance:

Strongly recommended—it covers force majeure-related cancellations

Which activities are suitable for me?

Most activities are suitable for participants in generally good health. However, some have restrictions:

Activities with Potential Restrictions:

– ATV Rides: Requires strength and balance; not suitable if pregnant or with back injuries
– Mountain Trekking: Requires good cardiovascular fitness; not for those with heart conditions
– Horseback/Camel Riding: Not suitable if pregnant or with severe back/joint issues
– Scuba Diving: Requires swimming ability and may require medical certification
– Hot Air Balloon: Not suitable if pregnant or with heart conditions; uncomfortable if afraid of heights

How to Know if an Activity is Right for You:

1. Honestly assess your physical condition
2. Disclose any health conditions or limitations

Important: We reserve the right to deny participation if safety requirements aren’t met.

Do I need travel insurance?

We STRONGLY RECOMMEND travel insurance. While not required, it’s highly advisable.

Travel insurance should cover:

– Trip cancellation (if you need to cancel)
– Medical emergencies and evacuation
– Lost baggage and personal belongings
– Travel delays
– Emergency dental/vision care

Travel insurance is your responsibility:

– The Agency does not provide insurance
– You’re responsible for obtaining your own
– Various policies available from insurance companies

If you have insurance:

You may be able to claim cancellation costs through insurance instead of using the Agency’s refund policy.

What safety precautions do you take?

We prioritize safety:

– All activity providers are licensed and vetted
– Guides are experienced and trained
– Safety equipment is well-maintained
– Safety briefings before all activities
– Clients must follow all safety instructions
– 24/7 emergency support while in-country
– Clear communication about activity risks

Your Responsibility:

– Honestly assess your physical condition
– Disclose health conditions
– Follow guide instructions
– Participate at your own risk (inherent activity risks)

What documents do I need to travel to Morocco?

Essential Documents:

– Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date
– Must have blank pages for stamps
– Check expiration date now!

2. Visa (if applicable)

– U.S. citizens: No visa required for stays up to 90 days
